RUN TOGETHER, BOND STRONGER
Event: IJM Land Half Marathon 2019Date: 4 August 2019
Venue: Dataran Centrio, Seremban 2, (Opp. Mydin S2), Negeri Sembilan.
Pertubuhan Hospice Negeri Sembilan was allotted a booth at this event. Our nurses and some volunteers were in charge of the event.
Over 10,000 people took part in the IJM Land Half Marathon 2019 which was flagged off at Dataran Centrio in Seremban 2.The event organised by Seremban 2 developer IJM Land Bhd attracted participants from all walks of life, young and old. TV host and newsreader Owen Yap added fun to the event and motivated and cheered the runners to the finishing line.
With its tag line “Run Together, Bond Stronger”, this exciting adventure brings everyone together as one in support of a positive lifestyle as they create great sporting moments.”
For the fourth year in a row, funds raised from the run were channeled towards two charities, namely Pertubuhan Hospice Negeri Sembilan (Hospice) and Malaysia Lysosomal Diseases Association (MLDA). A total of RM52,480 was raised from the event for the two charities.
It was IJM Land’s way of recognising the crucial roles played by the organisations in improving community health and people’s lives.
“Every participant has contributed towards the two exceptional local charities by joining the run.
“They have not only improved their quality of life by exercising but also contributed to those in need,” he said.
Our Hospice Team came back from the event with new ideas for the booth in the future.
