LDS – MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

Pertubuhan Hospice depends on donations. Our donors come from all walks of life. That was how we were introduced to LDS (Latter-Day Saints) Charities through Professor Ong Kok Hai. Prof. Ong, of International Medical University (IMU) is also an Honorary Member of Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS). LDS Charities is a humanitarian arm of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of the organisation’s mission is to “improve mobility, health, and the educational economic opportunities for people with physical disabilities.”

West Malaysia Representatives from LDS Charities – Bret and Kimie Dandoy- approached us to assess our needs. They prepared a proposal to their headquarters. Within two months they donated

· 2 ten-litre oxygen concentrators

· 4 five-litre oxygen concentrators

· 2 suction pumps

· 5 portable pulse oximeters

· 4 automatic blood pressure monitors

Bret and Kimie Dandoy attended a hand-over presentation at Hospice Negeri Sembilan on 30 November 2019. Prof. Ong graced the occasion too.

Our patient load has been steadily increasing over the years. Therefore, this donation is crucial towards our mission of providing Home Care service to our patients within the borders of the state of Negeri Sembilan.

Thank you LDS Charities, Bret and Kimie Dandoy and Prof. Ong for making it possible by contributing to our cause. Our patients will definitely benefit from your contribution.
